Beltronics Vector 955

The Beltronics Vector 955 is a mid-priced radar detector, the middle offering in the Vector 900 series of radar detectors. Like the lower level Vector 940 and the flagship Vector 995, the Vector 955 offers coverage for all radar and laser bands in the U.

S. (though the Vector 995 also covers the U.K.-based Ku band), which means that if a red light or speed trap is coming up, the digital voice alert feature will let you know. All the detectors in the Vector 900 line offer multi-sensor laser protection. All the detectors in this line also have Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, which means that they will not sound off for false alarms like garage door openers or motion sensors. The Vector 955 is promoted as having eight times the range of imported laser and radar detectors, which is better than the Vector 940's boast of six times the range of imports, but not as good as the Vector 995's boast of ten times the range of imports. Besides this difference in range, all of the Vector 900 radar detectors have pretty much the same specs. The Beltronics Vector 955 comes with a one year limited warranty.
