Cobra XRS 9740

The Cobra XRS 9740 is one of six 12-band, high-performance radar/laser detectors released two years after the original lineup (9330, 9430, 9530) as an upgrade. It builds from the 9640 by incorporating its predecessor’s one missing component: a voice alert system that warns drivers with specific voice annunciation of the signal being detected.

Otherwise a duplicate, the XRS 9740 relies on an advanced reception system to pick-up the 12 most common signals in addition to POP mode radar ones as well. Plus it alerts users to incoming emergency vehicles or railroad crossings. Additional features include an integrated compass, an IntelliShield system to protect against false signals, and a bright and easy-to-read digital display.
