The Cobra XRS 9970G is one of four advanced 14-band, high-performance radar/laser detectors from the XRS series. It trades in the 9860G’s DataGrafix display in favor of a 1.5” color TOUCHSCREEN interface that allows users to adjust settings by just tapping the screen.

Like its predecessor, the unit relies on Super-Xtreme Range Superheterodyne (X-SRS) Technology and an integrated GPS chip to alert users to 14+ radar detector-detector signals in addition to nearby verified Speed and Red Light camera / trap locations. Additional features include a car battery voltage monitor, free lifetime updates to the AURA database, and a digital GPS-based speedometer.
