Whistler XTR-145

$70.00 Released April, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:As sensitive as high-end detectors. Ideal for highway use, tends to be very reliable. Setup is extremely straight forward, just plugs in and turns on.

The Cons:Can be over-sensitive and provide false reads while driving in the city.

The Whistler XTR-145 is an entry-level, icon-based laser/radar detector designed for 360-degree protection from band signals. Unlike the XTR-140, the XTR-145 uses low-profile periscopes that still alert the user to signals, but doesn’t necessarily alert others—such as vehicles to the left, right, or behind the user—to the signals.

It’s an added level of protection, though it means a bit of less alert visibility for the user. Regardless, the Whistler XTR-145 provides full radar & laser detection in addition to VG-2 cloaking from detector-detectors. It’s also compatible with emergency-vehicle Safety Warning Systems.
