Whistler XTR-185

The Whistler XTR-185 is a rechargeable, cordless laser/radar detector that can be charged via either the integrated solar panel or through a conventional 12-volt automobile plug. Due to the solar panel, it therefore can provide a longer portable battery life up to approximately 17 hours.

Like its non-solar peers, the XTR-185 detects K-band, X-band, Ka Band and Ka Superwide signals. Featured also is compatibility with the SWS (Safety Warning System) used by emergency vehicles, road hazard workers and road construction delay staff. Additional features include city & highway modes for reducing the likelihood of false alerts, alert priorities based on importance (laser, radar, safety), and an auto Quiet Mode that temporarily disables audio alerts in favor of icon alerts.
