When there is a threat, you can choose to be alerted by the real voice alert, or by the low profile periscopes; these LED lights can be programmed to flash when there is a threat, stay solidly on, or be turned off completely. All three models in the XTR-600 series have radar signature ID and laser signature ID. This means that when it has received an alert, the display will give you detailed information about the radar or laser it has detected. All three models in this series are also Intellicord ready, meaning that with the Intellicord system you can program settings using a remote control. The Intellicord system is an add-on with a $27.95 MSRP. The XTR-695 has a 2.5mm external audio jack and 7 color backlit LCD text display, which makes it a step up from the base XTR-690 SE model. However, it does not have the illuminated soft touch buttons of the higher end XTR-695 SE. The Whistler XTR-695 radar and laser detector comes with a three year warranty.
